Blending Witching Hour last year was my first real experience of Patchouli. I was trying to dupe a candle that was discontinued years ago and when I googled the notes, I was surprised to find that it was almost entirely made up of this earthy ingredient. I had really only heard of Patchouli in a dismissive context, as if it was not at all desirable at all. So imagine my suprise when burning this for the first time, discovering that, when blended with a little cinnamon for warmth and vanilla for sweetness, it is the most intoxicating home fragrance.
